YOGA FLOW THRU THE CHAKRAS
Saturday June 16th 1-3pm
Yoga teaches us that asana is a way to promote good health through movement
incorporating both stretch and strength. But inside there are subtle, energetic
spaces known as chakras, and these areas need to be addressed with as much
attention as we give our physical bodies.
Sometimes when you feel “off” or “stuck”, you don’t know why. Perhaps it’s time to
take a look at how your internal energy is balanced. With certain movements and
breathing techniques, you’ll open and access the chakras and get an idea of how
your energy manifests there. As awareness grows over time, you’ll gain
understanding and acceptance of who you are.
This workshop will blend these ideas. Join Ashley for an afternoon of yoga flow
designed to promote awareness and balance through the chakra system. Practice
will include asana, pranayama and some time for stillness, ultimately affording you
the opportunity to deepen your yoga knowledge and practice.
The class will consist of a brief overview of the chakras followed by a medium
intensity yoga practice. The practice will emphasize balancing of the energies
within the subtle body. We will end with guided relaxation and shavasana and allow
for a few minutes of stillness.
