This class presents a balanced mix of breath awareness, movement, alignment, strength, and flexibility. It is a great class for anyone who is interested in learning more about a traditional vinyasa flow. Open to all experience levels (even beginners!) and individual modifications will be available.
Ashtanga is a traditional yoga practice which includes a set sequence of postures beginning with sun salutations to heat up the body followed by a series of standing postures, seated postures, back-bends and inversions. This beginner-friendly class is a modified version of the Primary Series in which students will be able to learn the fundamentals of Ashtanga and develop their own practice. All levels are welcome!
Yin Yoga consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly target the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer. Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that are popular in the west, such as Vinyasa and Ashtanga.
Yoga for lunch
Allow yourself the gift of taking a few moments to step back from your day, and reconnect with yourself, your gratitude, and your inner peace. This is a 45 minute class that is designed to provide a smooth continuous flow of breath, movement, and postures that will enable you to build strength, balance, flexibility, and focus. Reclaim your Day!
Yoga Lab is a 75 minute class for those looking to help their practice grow in a fun and relaxed environment. Each week will have a different focus, and we will break down poses into their component parts using progressive sequencing and props. All levels and drop-ins are welcome!
This class weaves pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, and asana (physical postures) into an hour and 15 minute class. It will consist of dynamic movement with breath, as well as longer posture holds. This class is about building stability and strength in addition to flexibility and mobility.
Join us for a fun, and energetic flow Karma class. There is no fee for the class - a minimum donation of $5 is suggested, but give whatever you can.
IYENGAR YOGA LEVEL 1
Yoga is for EveryBody! No one is too old or too stiff, too fat or thin or tired. Students of all ages and physical abilities are guided to an experience of yoga which is safe, accessible and rewarding. Students of Iyengar Yoga begin with elementary postures, with an emphasis on the standing asanas (postures), and progress toward forward and backward extensions, twists, inversions and restorative poses. Each class ends with Savasana, corpse pose or deep relaxation. Students learn to rest in a profound way, completely releasing the body while drawing the mind towards the peace within.
Hatha yoga refers to a set of physical exercises (asanas) designed to align the muscles and bones and open the many energy channels of the body, especially the spine, so that energy can flow freely. Hatha yoga is intended to create a balance of strength and flexibility in the body as well as a balance of effort and surrender in each asana. A powerful tool for self-transformation, Hatha yoga requires that one pay special attention to the breath, which helps calm the fluctuations of the mind. This allows the practitioner to become more present in the unfolding of each moment, resulting in more awareness and relaxation.
This is a strong, vinyasa flow class with an emphasis on core work and having fun. Although designed to be a challenging class, it does not take itself too seriously, and nor should you! All levels are welcome. Come ready to work and laugh (maybe even at the same time).
There are tremendous benefits to be gained from doing yoga while pregnant, and also after the baby comes. This beautiful class offers a chance to build a community of moms, share in the experience of being pregnant & being a new mom, and discuss the world of birth. It is also an opportunity to tune-in and honor both your body and your growing baby. The classes will utilize yoga asana that build strength and stamina, balance, and breathe work to help support your body as it changes through pregnancy and thru recovery. Learn techniques to calm the nervous system and to connect mind, body, and spirit that will offer benefits for the lifelong journey of motherhood.
1st Saturday FAMILY YOGA
Every 1st Saturday is Family First Yoga Night! An all levels class that is taught in a fun filled environment for kids and adults alike. This class will explore standing poses, sun salutations, breathing and relaxation techniques and fun interactive yoga games. It's an opportunity for bonding with family while sharing the health and well being that yoga brings.
